Blackwood will deliver all your meeting requirements—receptive meeting spaces, delicious catered meals and snacks, outstanding AV equipment, restorative outdoor breaks, and more.
We can accommodate large groups in our spacious Gathering Hall, complete with large-screen television, projector and screen, round tables and chairs for group breakouts, and all the supplies you need to facilitate. Smaller groups may prefer the cozy country setting of our straw bale house with its comfortable great room and long porch for meals and breakout sessions.
Our onsite caterer, Longspoon Catering, can provide all your meals, snacks, and drinks from our commercial kitchen adjacent to the Gathering Hall. Chef Cade Conlon’s cuisine emphasizes Blackwood’s commitment to sustainability—from pasta and breads made from locally sourced heirloom grains to beyond-organic farm-fresh produce, honey, and eggs from the Blackwood gardens.
Blackwood’s rich biome will inspire your colleagues to stretch their minds as they stretch their legs. Our farm delivers a valuable respite from the daily hubbub and a refreshing replenishment that only nature and the land can give.

We held our company retreat at Blackwood and the entire experience was impeccable. Their team worked closely with us to make sure we were properly accommodated across many areas. The bedrooms were spacious, the hall was large enough to hold multiple break-out sessions, the breakfast, lunch, and dinner options were sourced locally from their on-site organic garden and they worked around our schedules to incorporate a team-building cooking class, among other activities. They also made sure we were always stocked up on coffee, which our team greatly appreciated. We would strongly recommend Cath and the Blackwood Team to anyone looking to refresh their company retreat experience because it was truly one-of-a-kind!
